  1. Evil Fallout character?

Only game, IMHO, that did an evil character well was the first KOTOR. Being a kind veggie tree hugger, forcing myself to be evil was actually painful - especially with some of the comments the characters would make in response... Otherwise I find that being evil in most RPGs, as was already...
  2. OMFG!!! It's a conspiracy!

    To the point: AMEN.
  3. OMFG!!! It's a conspiracy!

This only warrents a limited commentary: They are very two, very distinct games, and any similarities in plot devices (duh, a gate to hell is such an overused concept) is a pure coincidence. Once you play Hellgate you will find it is vastly different in everyway from Oblivion... Vastly different.
  4. WOW: Did they go too far with this PVP attack?

I have to put this in my sig, made me laugh so hard I threw up the coke i was drinking and damn near pissed on myself.
  5. Your take on mods?

    Very true!
  6. Your take on mods?

Ha! You forgot the zombie corpses. In Invisible War, sometimes the corpses would twict uncontrollably and never stop once the body fell. I thought it was funny at first (I killed that npc so good his body is having convulsions!) The joke got old quick...
  7. Oldblivion - running TES4 without a hyper-graphics card

You want the official BS line or the truth. I'll give you the truth... you know the BS line. The truth is, deals are struck. That is why you see "this game runs best on NVIDIA or ATI" on modern PC game boxes. When a vendor comes to you and says "Hey here's free hardware for you to develop...
  8. Do Hardcore Gamers (like the ones here) Still Matter?

    1) Turn based. Real time is retarded. 2) Hasn't been used. 3)I prefer a 20-sided die, but based on Bryce's Silent Storm comments it will most likely be skilled based. In which case I will find a hex editor to tweak stats like I did during a recent quick X-COM refresher course.
  9. Your take on mods?

I stand corrected, but I was under the impression that one of the requirements to participate in STEAM was that the game/product uses the source engine.
  10. WOW: Did they go too far with this PVP attack?

Background: Apparently this girl on a pvp server died in real life and her guildmates wanted to have an in-game funeral for her. Of course, the obvious response for a rival guild was to raid the funeral with appropriate musical accompaniment. The Link...
  11. Do Hardcore Gamers (like the ones here) Still Matter?

I want to cry now... rejection... I will not disappoint next time!
  12. Your take on mods?

Agreed... and I'll explain why. Technically, I think it is one of the best looking mods ever created, and it got me thinking what is possible with Valve's Source engine. The top down third person perspective and interface got me thinking - Why won't someone make an X-Com tribute! It seems...
  13. Your take on mods?

That has happened in the case of a few games. I came across a foreign mod for Blue Byte's INCUBATION (awesome game that never got respect here in the U.S.) which updated ALL the models and graphics but retained the gameplay. The same occured with System Shock 2 with the high res pack a modder...
  14. Your take on mods?

Ok... you know, that I will grant "somewhat". The removal of pack mules (for whatever reason), only to have a modder re-add them is a prime example.
  15. Your take on mods?

There were some damn impressive mods for Baldurs Gate and Baldur's Gate 2 that didn't fix things, but added tons of new content (but not new gameplay). Also the mods for the original Vampire: The Maquerade were decent (but not great). Mods for RPGs I've seen in two flavors: Like you said...
