heh, and here I thought "Pathfinder: Abominations" was the catch-all megathread title for discussion of Owlcat's games...

Hello everyone! Our team is very excited to have finally announced our Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults Kickstarter, and we appreciate the buzz and feedback from our fellow Pathfinders.
We know there is quite a buzz around the idea of a great ARPG using Pathfinder -- Can it be done? We think the answer is: Absolutely yes!
SO! In the coming weeks as we are getting close to the campaign launch, we will be revealing some more about our vision for the game, including:
- A bit of background about the Abomination Vaults adventure (for those who aren't familiar with it)
-The structure of the game (The chapters!)
-Our core gameplay elements
-Character progression and customization (DPS Cleric? Tanky Ranger?

)
-Building a teamwork-focused adventure
-The creaky village of Otari. (

)
-How we'd like to offer good replay value
We also plan to share more details about topics like:
- How we envision our game within the ARPG space
- Our vision for how to bring Pathfinder's concepts to life in this format (So important!)
- Our vision for a great premium game (NO MTX!

)
...and more!

What are some of Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults game pillars?
The Abomination Vaults form a sprawling mega-dungeon beneath Gauntlight Keep. The Vaults are divided into several distinct biomes, each of which comprises its own chapter of the game. Each biome presents new creatures, hazards, and bosses for the players to overcome. Are you prepared?
You may have noticed our four iconic champions to choose from: Ezren the Wizard, Amiri the Barbarian, Kyra the Cleric and Harsk the Ranger. These are our core characters. Will there be more than these four Iconics? More info soon!
We envision a playground of destruction, where players can try out a variety of powerful and rewarding moves and combinations to overcome the challenges they face — and players can build each Iconic to suit different playstyles.
Finally let’s talk about replayability! Between customizing your loadout, trying different characters, changing your weapons and enhancements… We want to build enough replay value to make the game worth playing multiple times. Combine that with our vision for NewGame+ which would allow players to restart the adventure from the beginning with their progression intact and increased difficulty — and you have a lot to keep you busy in the Vaults!
Many more details to come in the upcoming weeks… What gets YOU excited the most about Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults?

Actress sounds like she's really struggling to get those words out. :lol:

Doesn't really seem like the kind of subgenre that can get the Kickstarter crowd enthused.

Existing IP and pre-built fanbase might help. Kickstarter pre-launch page has about 7k followers.

It doesn't look like something I'm interested in, but it's very broad appeal.

I'll take "What if Adam Sandler, Bruce Willis and Mr Potatohead made a game?" for 300 Alex.
