so few remaining wypepo living in pods and working 20 hours day to feed shaneekwas. that's exactly what i've said.
you become self-sufficient if you build outposts because you can breed animals and raise crops that you collect from other planets and setup production chains for food etc. You can assign crew to work at outposts and build robots that help production. It's pretty cool.
so wypepo running away from cities, homeschooling, growing their food?

Come laugh at the ending message with me, actual spoilers, if you care about this shit of a games plot. Great advice up there - just go play Space Rangers.

That would be cool if new universe had different quests from same characters and those characters are put in different positions and you can find companions you could not in original universe.

Frankly this is an utter disgrace, nothing in it shows next-generation game, not even the textures, not even the facial animations, nothing.

Maybe if an indie game developers made something like that, most people would have accepted with a grain of salt, but even the indie game developers would have made a better job.

Here, there is nothing great, nor good, everything is unexploited, everything is left to its empty shell of an idea that could have been great.

And what's worse, nothing in the game reeks 400M$ of development let alone 7 years of development, everything is under-cooked, there is no polishing, no attention to detail, no exciting new gameplay element.
What are you talking about? It runs 30 FPS on next generation GPUs that cost 2000+ $ ! That is as next generation as it comes!

I don't understand why we have all these weird looking animal aliens but no species that achieved any technological progress. Like, what's the basis?

Played for 20 hours. This is Bethesda's best game since Oblivion. It actually has some decent role playing mechnics in it and quest deisgn is miles better than Fallou 3, 4 and Skyrim. The amount of handcrafted content is also pretty impressive(probably more than skyrim and fallout 4 combined). It's not a high bar but still.

It's pretty funny to see all the normie bashing starfield while praising Skyrim, it's quite telling.

High intelligence is not an unavoidable evolutionary outcome and may very well have been a rare fluke.

All the bitching aside, game is super fun to play and to explore if you liked combat and collecting trash in Fallout 4.

The outpost system (settlements in FO4) is vastly improved in Starfield.

So if you liked these aspects, you will like Starfield. It is definitely not a game that will appeal to everyone, certainly not on the codex.
:hmmm:

hey man, tons of people scoured the wasteland for tin cans to build up their settlements, it's really not that weird of a thing

in this game instead of hunting for tin cans for aluminium you are hunting for planets with natural aluminium deposits to build a mining outpost on

it's a step up, see?

what an endorsement "it has slightly better mechanics than the fallout game that came out EIGHT YEARS AGO"
When it comes to RPG, chances are the older game is always better than the new ones.

It's a genre in deline for decades now and there is no stop in the forseeable future.
