PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: 2FA NOW MANDATORY - YOU DON'T NEED A PHONE NUMBER FFS

Authy disables its desktop app in the near future. So what should I be using from now on? Phone is the wrong answer.

RPG codex poster cameos wanted for my RPG

There is a lot of potential in having Crispios selling abaci from a basement.

You have a lot to learn from the Black Knight who is an archetype of a Codex poster:

4X What's your top 5 4x games of all time?

I agree on this. Something generic, random-generated like John Smith, Pajeet Gautama and Tsang Lao would work much better. But I guess they wanted to fix the behavior of the computer-controlled characters to certain persons instead of their nationalities. #notallpajeets

What's been the most disappointing RPG you can think of?

Ultimas 8-9 were disappointing. But by the time of Ultima 7 I had already realised that buying any game without reading some reviews first is useless. So I bought them at a sale later. If we go back to really old but traumatising shit, Heroes of the Lance takes the cake. That was like WTF I...

Vapourware Scam Citizen - Only people with too much money can become StarCitizens! WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE?

I have a feeling that many people who poured money into this are soon dying down themselves.

Starfield Pre-Release Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

Somehow, I don't see humans colonizing the galaxy at all. It would require some sort of a miracle to turn the birth rates up, and I don't see this happening like, any time soon (I don't think blacks keep breeding either when their standard of living goes up, slowly but surely). The only miracles...

Management / Sim Against the Storm (early access)

Found this surprisingly interesting 'roguelike city builder'. It's both on GOG and Steam, picked it up from GOG summer sale: I have played only a couple of missions on a low difficulty, remains to be seen if it starts repeating itself too soon. But there are a lot of random events and the...

    Single ship space exploration recommendations

Two games I'm still not sure I should recommend or not, but it looks like they have some fans, and the games are not too expensive if bought when there is a sale. Now with one-line reviews: This lasted for a while but did not keep me interested for a very long time. But do read some reviews...

MicroProse revived as military simulator publisher

Wishing for: Gunship and B-17 remakes and Falcon 5.0, all with a dynamic campaign, and Airborne Ranger remake for starters.

    Privateer (Wing Commander)

Privateer 2 has a plot, fighting and some trading. These are OK but after the plot is done, there was not much new things left to see or do, unless you wanted to grind for the most expensive ship (which you didn't need to finish the plot). But I played it over 20 years ago - I remember that I...

Games that offer a truly unique game experience

Seems to be still alive. I played this like halfway through once, one of the weirdest games ever and hard to get a grasp on.
