  1. Game News Fallout: New Vegas - By Obsidian, For Bethesda

You kidding? Bethesda did an amazing job on such a crapped out engine, the results are quite incredible. They managed to get rid of the studid cell loading system from Morrowind and Oblivion. Plus managed to smooth out everything at the same time. I've got both Oblivion and Fallout 3 installed...
  2. Aww yo dog this is Pete Hines man

This was a pretty good interview. Can't really see what's wrong with it. Looks like a pretty normal conversation really. And no, Bethesda isn't doing stuff THAT bad. They're actually one of the best game developers there is. They just make alot of bad choices when it comes to game...
  3. My Fallout 3 impressions.

I'm actually a bit surprised you guys seem to like this game, even though it's made by Bethesda. I remeber reading these forums alot just before Oblivion was launched and by that time, Bethesda had just confirmed that they were working on Fallout 3. And you guys thought the world was going to...
  4. Interview Game Informer's Fallout 3 Q&A

So, you guys are actually pretty excited about this game huh? Be sure to tell Bethesda that, since you slaughtered Oblivion and hurt their feelings! ;) But yeah, seems as they've taken the criticism and tried really really hard to create a game to appeals to both hardcore fans and new ones...
  5. Why do people from RPG Codex hate video games?

:) You guys should have one thing. You have a pretty good sense of humor actually and that's good though. :D
  6. Why do people from RPG Codex hate video games?

Wow, those quotes are spot-on! You guys are a bunch of snobs who think you are better than anyone who doesn't have the same wiew on games that you do. And nobody really cares of your opinnion either. You can just stay here at these forums and rot in your misery. I'm out. Then again...
  7. The 55 greatest gaming moments

Are you guys saying that you don't agree that Final Fantasy 7 is a great game with a great story? And you don't think that Sephiroth is cool?
  8. Mass Effect Screens showing Dialogue

But the dialogue in Monkey Island IS fun. Especially Monkey Island 3. And Rat Keeng, there's some spelling issues in your signature.
  9. Radiant AI in action (my video)

The thing is, the AI is good enough, meaning that the basics are done great. It's just that it comes out rather clumsy with the stuttering NPC animations and how they suddenly talk in each other's mouths and such. This is probably what needs the most work of all cause mainly, I find the AI of...
  10. New FF12 import playtest video.

I don't like this at all. Square(enix) has gotten a whole lot worse after Enix joined. Unlimited Saga has got to be the worst game I've ever played! I remeber being so dissapointed! Now, Final Fantasy 7, that's a perfect game! I really hope they do a remake for the PS3. A reason of it's own to...
  11. So I'm making a Morrowind mod...

Yes very nice. But you really need new textures! :) Try using Zbrush to paint it on the model to avoid difficulties while texturing.
  12. Oblivion shadows: before and after

That jail cell has more than just normal mapping and specular mapping. How do you think they managed to make the bricks "pop" out? It's called parallax mapping or virtual displacement mapping. Very important to add this. And no, it's not prerendered. Have a look at this if anyone don't believe...
  13. Oblivion shadows: before and after

They have no detail? What screen are you looking at exactly? You can see they are bricks right? Meaning they DO have detail! But seriously, the screens are low quality. Don't expect a jpg picture to represent the final game. That's just stupid. Do you at all know what you're talking...
  14. Oblivion shadows: before and after

Regarding the shadows in the before and after screenshots. Take a look at this: From E3 Demo Original screen from German bootleg video Before and after; E3 and bootleg Screenshots I've taken myself from the video from the german magazine note - this is from the same...
  15. Oblivion shadows: before and after

Don't get the shadow system confused with lighting. The shadow system was just an "add on" that made it possible for objects to cast shadows on other abjects dynamicaly. This is what got cut. These light and dark spots has nothing to do with the shadow system since it's just per pixel lighting...
