Oh nice I'll actually replay this game then. I only played lich so far and had no interest in anything else but devil which was said to be more barebones than necromancy somehow

Now that Crane Wing is fixed Crane splashers would use this to pivot between high AC and (a lot) more damage. I remember there were weapons that would default to 2H that would mess up builds so just having a functional interface here is a relevant improvement.

Yeah, the 1h/2h toggle is a good change.
Genuine question: did anyone try the tandem executioner hunter sub added in the last yuge patch? Seems like a cool class with lots of nice unique features, but the special feats they get also sound like something that would be bugged to hell and back.

I tried the class in my latest playthrough in january, it is a nice class with nice features that balance the low AB and most of the stuff was working but it felt like it'll be as a multi class dip IMHO for some levels.
Though if you'll play on core you can easly go full TE.

You only unlock the progressive class features *with class levels*. The harder the difficulty *the more this matters*, not less.
Don't play higher difficulties underleveled.
Here's the Tandem Executioner abilities:
The greyed out ones have prereqs. You can only unlock them by leveling up the class (not dips).

No, it's gonna get new batch of bugs, but those won't be fixed anytime soon.
No, there are 11 new archetypes bundled within, so if you want to play them, you have to start anew.

The new DLC archetypes seem to be about a 50/50 being either best/near best option for a class or underpowered.
I think Owlcat has done a fairly good job making new archetypes interesting (as interesting as they can be for a game where there's 200 of them and you'll probably play with 1-3 new ones per game).

I know I'm beating a dead horse but best doesn't mean much when people are looking for different things out of the game.
The game is (a little bit regrettably) solvable at this point at any difficulty and there is no ladder so which class archetype is best depends on which stipulation one chooses.
If there is a dimension one can rate them on it would be idiotproof to niche. Each archetype has a logic behind the trade-offs/novel abilties involved and only a very few are mailed in (including one that utterly dominates the game by lvl 12 or so).
