    Field of Glory II: Medieval

This + all DLCs are featured in a great Fanatical bundle.

    Age of Wonders 4

The problem with these wishy-washy "create your own experience" type of games is that people like to win and like to win easily at that, so the instinct is to find the most broken shit and do that over and over again. Theoretically, you can create varied factions, but why would you? It's even...

    Field of Glory II

Fanatical have a ridiculously good bundle going on right now and this + DLCs and Medieval + DLCs are featured.

TBS Fantasy General II by Slitherine Games

Btw, Fanatical have a ridiculously good bundle going on right now and this and the DLCs are featured in it.

TBS Fantasy General II by Slitherine Games

Onslaught isn't just procedurally generated maps, it still has a story and the maps follow set design parameters. It also allows you to play with characters and army combinations/limitations you otherwise can't. It's proc gen done right. The other campaigns are also good, I don't think there's a...

    Age of Wonders 4

It still has around 1500 players daily, so I guess some people are still playing it.

    Total War: PHARAOH

Here's what they'll be adding - I'd still argue the game itself is stale and doesn't offer anything worthwhile. Troy was at least quirky with the truth behind the myth stuff and then got real good with the real myth units. This has what? The same old stale TW formula with ridiculously dumb AI...

Warhammer Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War - turn-based 4X from Slitherine

It really depends on the map size. A 1v1 on the smallest map can be over in 30 minutes.

Warhammer Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War - turn-based 4X from Slitherine

This usually happens through Discord. Battlesector functions the same way atm.

Warhammer Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War - turn-based 4X from Slitherine

He buffs nearby infantry's accuracy and armor penetration, and can restore morale in a pinch by executing a squad member of a unit. The buffs are the important part, it makes infantry actually do some damage for once. It's especially good for long-range infantry like ratlings, heavy weapon teams...

Warhammer Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War - turn-based 4X from Slitherine

I've tried the new AM unit, Field Ordnance Battery, and while it's not bad at all it suffers from being part of the AM infantry roster. The way the game fundamentally plays screws the AM infantry over and they need a more radical tweaking to function properly. I've suggested having the commissar...

Eternity Pillars of Eternity + The White March Expansion Thread

If it's the event I'm thinking of, you can delay that until you get more allies. You maybe should delay it because the fight might be impossible at this low a level and with no allies to soften the opposing army.

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition - A Dance of Masks epilogue DLC coming June 13th

Afaik, mostly bloat. I think the new lower level campaign has been well received, but don't quote me on that.

4X Old World - historical 4X strategy by Civ 4 designer (formerly 10 Crowns)

The new DLC is out - It has a 10% launch discount, but if you already have everything else it's 30ish% as a bundle "completion bonus". It's also at the very reasonable price point of 10 Euro, not the 20 Euro debacle like last time. It adds 350+ events to the game, for those who were...

Crown Wars: The Black Prince - historical fantasy turn-based tactics from Naheulbeuk devs

I have no idea how this guy plays through these games so quickly and 100% no less.
