Um. Ok?

Are there even any X-Box 360 gamers here that care?

This bit only affects Xbox 360 players - but it does sort of show the target audience according to Microsoft. I'm fairly certain Bethesda wouldn't have added achievements without being asked to. It's just that they had to for the Xbox platform.

Yeah, those have the look of perfunctory, get-Microsoft-off-their-back choices. Point to Bethesda.

How stupid is that? They make a huge world full of complex quests, then go to great lengths to outline exactly how to complete it all. Such potential, such boring gameplay. It's like they figured they'd kill the strategy guide market by building in right into Oblivion.

I like "2)Located the Shrine of Dagon "

So presumably that won't show up on the quest compass? Wouldn't be much of a quest if the task was to find the shrine of dagon, and <ping> it appears on your fast travel map allowing you to get straight there, or even shows on the compass AT ALL. That'd be like giving you an achievement point for being able to open the game box. Then again, maybe that'd be a good idea?

You know, I'm sure somebody out there is trying to accumulate as many points as possible, hence is going out and buying games solely because he heard it was easy to get achievement points from them. Could be a new marketing strategy, Can't get your 100 points from Halo? Try our game, 200 points for putting the disc in!

Unfortunately, I think you're right.

50 points for getting out of the first dungeon?

jesus christ.

probably a response to the fact that 90% of people who played morrowind couldn't complete the first quest even though they had SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS on where to go.
I mean I'm a fucking mensa member and I couldn't even get out of the Census Office.
with the quest compass I might've been able to.

Huh? What do you mean? The list of achievements doesn't appear in the game.

Just to everyone who logs into 360 Live. Where do you think the list came from?
