Damn, what's this thread about again? Oh yeah...

Parole Officer: "Do you know why you're here?"
Lucia: "Bad luck, I guess."

I admit, that got to chuckle out me. Finally, a realistically-written female protagonist.

Gotta say, say the fact that the game takes place in the GTA-verse version of Florida has piqued my interest, at least in the open-world and exploration parts of the game. Gamers around the world will soon become sensitized to my day-to-day lived experiences down here in The Gunshine State. Constant reptile attacks, AI-generated weather, and the looming threat of getting mollywhopped by a tweaked-out hobo that wasn't even there when you last turned around.

Here are some good insights about the superior animations and aesthetics of the game, its from an ex-Rockstar employee and he worked on GTA5

He is a huge fanboy like me but he shares interesting observations based on his technical knowledge. Just one warning, he can be a little annoying with some of his comments but he means well so I like him

Game is trying to cash in on that Vice City nostalgia.
And failing badly at that.

I don't think that's it. They just don't have that many cities to emulate, because America is bland. Single story stores, grids, flat elevation, parking lots, three lane streets, single use zoning, cookie-cutter suburbs, lack of density and other bland car infrastructure all over almost every city. King Crispy thought I lived in California because of some mountains in the background of a cycling video I posted. But it's because when you remove the unique topography, one place looks like any other, almost anywhere you look. There is no sense of place. They already revisited the Los Angeles of San Andreas with GTA V and already revisited the New York of GTA III with IV. Miami and the surrounding country was the next one in the cycle. Should take it to another country. I'm thinking Latin America.

I liked the old White Male concept model, looked like he had an edge, a hard White, possibly a criminal from Daytona/Central Florida trying his luck further South. With obviously the roles reversed, him being the dominant, she the submissive/supportive who is a ride or die bitch that will love him and die for him through and through.
Probably the original idea in the creator's mind, then jews happened and he probably went all like "oh yeah of course how couldn't I see it before, reversing the roles is a much stronger message of empowerment and liberation, yes!". That or the idea was to always cuck the guy from day one, they just turned him swarthier. You can never know these days, modern western creators are all highly self-censoring domesticated goyim at this point.

Ex-Rockstar dev miserably fails at explaining why GTA6 can’t come out on PC alongside PS5 & Xbox Series X - DSO Gaming

Mike York, a former Rockstar employee who has worked on both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, has tried to explain why GTA6 cannot come out on PC alongside its console versions. And his explanation is what everyone has already predicted. A pile of mere excuses and nothing more.

[...]

And I get it. York is being a diplomate here, trying to praise his former studio. After all, he won’t bite the hand that fed him. However, we’re so fed up with PR statements and lies. No dear York, Rockstar is not delaying the game on PC to further polish it. They’re delaying it so that they can increase their revenue. They are delaying it to have another marketing campaign in two years. Because they know people will double dip. That’s the truth, whether you like it or not.

ex rockstar dev shilling the crap out of this, wow

that's what it takes in our industry nowadays, to take some risk and have some fun and not be afraid to release a game that you think is fun [...] people are afraid, people are getting cancelled left and right, we NEED more games like this

Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA developers team up to work on huge new game
Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser has set up a new transmedia company, titled Absurd Ventures. It appears as if Houser has hired several ex-Rockstar devs who worked on a variety of GTA projects alongside Red Dead Redemption 2 which bodes well. As reported by PCGamesN, developer Lazlow Jones and writer Michael Unsworth are two of those who have decided to join Houser at Absurd Venture.
...
The studio will reportedly focus on creating “new universes” to “tell great stories”. As a ‘transmedia’ company, don’t expect Absurd Ventures to limit itself to the world of gaming. Given the talent already at the company, we should naturally expect gaming plans but I’m guessing that Houser is looking to experiment across disciplines. We’re excited to see more.

An 18-year-old hacker who leaked clips of a forthcoming Grand Theft Auto (GTA) game has been sentenced to an indefinite hospital order.

Arion Kurtaj from Oxford, who is autistic, was a key member of international gang Lapsus$.
The gang's attacks on tech giants including Uber, Nvidia and Rockstar Games cost the firms nearly $10m.
The judge said Kurtaj's skills and desire to commit cyber-crime meant he remained a high risk to the public.
He will remain at a secure hospital for life unless doctors deem him no longer a danger.
The court heard that Kurtaj had been violent while in custody with dozens of reports of injury or property damage.

Doctors deemed Kurtaj unfit to stand trial due to his acute autism so the jury was asked to determine whether or not he committed the alleged acts - not if he did so with criminal intent.
A mental health assessment used as part of the sentencing hearing said he "continued to express the intent to return to cyber-crime as soon as possible. He is highly motivated."
The jury was told that while he was on bail for hacking Nvidia and BT/EE and in police protection at a Travelodge hotel, he continued hacking and carried out his most infamous hack.
Despite having his laptop confiscated, Kurtaj managed to breach Rockstar, the company behind GTA, using an Amazon Firestick, his hotel TV and a mobile phone.
Kurtaj stole 90 clips of the unreleased and hugely anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6.
He broke into the company's internal Slack messaging system to declare "if Rockstar does not contact me on Telegram within 24 hours I will start releasing the source code".

He then posted the clips and source code on a forum under the username TeaPotUberHacker.
He was rearrested and detained until his trial.

Earlier this month, the trailer for GTA 6 was released clocking up 128m views on YouTube in just 4 days.
In sentencing hearings, Kurtaj's defence team argued that the success of the game's trailer indicated that Kurtaj's hack had not caused serious harm to the game developer and asked that this be factored into the sentencing.
But Her Honour Judge Lees said that there were real victims and real harm caused from his other multiple hacks on individuals and the companies he attacked with Lapsus$.
Rockstar Games alone told the court that the hack cost it $5m to recover from plus thousands of hours of staff time.

Another Lapsus$ member, who is 17 and cannot be named because of his age, was found guilty in the same trial, which lasted six weeks at Southwark Crown Court.
He worked with Kurtaj and other members of Lapsus$ to hack tech giant Nvidia and phone company BT/EE and steal data before demanding a four million dollar ransom, which was not paid.
They also stole directly from individuals through their cryptocurrency wallets.
The 17-year-old was sentenced to an 18 month long Youth Rehabilitation Order, including intense supervision and a ban on using VPNs online.
As well as hacking offences the boy was sentenced for what the judge described as "unpleasant and frightening pattern of stalking and harassment" of two young women.
Kurtaj and the 17-year-old are the first members of the Lapsus$ group to be convicted but it is thought others are still at large.
The gang's audacious attacks in 2021 and 2022 shocked the cyber-security world. The group from the UK, and allegedly Brazil, was described in court as "digital bandits".
The gang - thought to mostly be teenagers - used con-man like tricks as well as computer hacking to gain access to multinational corporations such as Microsoft, the technology giant and digital banking group Revolut.
During their spree, the hackers regularly celebrated their crimes publicly and taunted victims on the social network app Telegram in English and Portuguese.
It prompted US cyber-authorities to issue a lengthy report into Lapsus$ and other teen hacker gangs.
It concluded that Lapsus$ "made clear just how easy it was for its members (juveniles, in some instances) to infiltrate well-defended organisations".
It is not clear how much money Lapsus$ has made from its cyber-crimes. No companies publicly admitted paying the hackers and the hackers did not provide the passwords to seized cryptocurrency wallets.

Assumed it was the revenge porn American capitalist legal system, but they would have put him in regular prison for life.

Holy moly everyone is deeply analyzing the trailer scenes. And there´s still 2 years away where anything can be discarded/included.
Just like with the 1st trailer from CP77, nothing you see may appear in the final game.

But of course, what am I expecting from these sheeps....

Avoids invisible walls, although not sure that that's such an immersion killer.

Was a nonissue in RDR.
