Maybe. I haven't played BG3 yet so I can't make any judgement on it. I have nothing against Larian, they seem competent and their games are well-received. If anything, their long journey from relatively obscure studio to industry giant is admirable.

However, I personally found DOS1 + DOS2 utterly unplayable, despite several tries.

I can't imagine BG3 to be any different.
