  1. Development Info NWN2 on Halloweenie

For European market, it gives few weeks for Gothic3 to sell beforehand without competition. I know I at least won't hesitate to buy G3 as soon as it hits the stores. :) This isn't exactly the first time NWN2 gets delayed either. Few weeks isn't bad, but if they delay it more say month or two...
  2. Game News Gothic 3 gone gold

Seems like the game is coming up like planned. Good news to hear.
  3. Mod News Graphical Nox Map Editor alpha released

Conjurer class was pretty fun in Nox with its charmed/summoned pets and all the other spells. I also liked how Nox progressed like adventure from destination to another compared to Diablo2's towns which served more as hubs for questing. As for the editor, better late than never I guess.
  4. Company News Molyneux talking crazy again

Microsoft owns Molyneusx's ass, he's officially money grinding asset nowadays. He has always been an asshat though.
  5. $1 Million Worth of Horse Armour?

There's risk the bare bone game being released half assed buggy and early, kind of same way people thought online patching would do to pc games back in the 90's. But then would the original game sell in the first place? If the extras add only convenience and aesthetics, then it's no big deal...
  6. NWN2 sidesteps from DnD

Sawyer is hesitant to defend Obsidian's case.
  7. NWN2 sidesteps from DnD

So I learned something new about NWN2 today. At nwn2 news they posted some differences to DnD rules. You can read some of the differences in the original post on bio forums. I guess you could expect lots of changes when you know they are sticking with real time with pause, but some of these blew...
  8. Interview NWN2 intervoo at Firing Squad

Feargus' reply was to question did they estimate their project length accurately. Now I'm betting writing new renderer, making new models and animations takes lot more time than adding ingame features if that's what you were expecting.
  9. NWN2 to feature good/evil branching campaigns. Also sieges.

Ha, gamespy sure knows their mass appeal. I'm not sure if the writer really means separate campaigns. The nwn2news faq has some dev quotes which tell there will be results to your choices. But so far I haven't read anything about wholly different campaigns. And since this comes from gamespy...

  11. First Person RPG Combat

It's ludicrous you can point your gun with mouse on enemy's head, take headshot from point blank range and all you see is few numbers popping on the enemy's head telling how much damage you did instead of blood splattering all over and one headless corpse falling down. Might as well give the...
  12. Game News NWN2 delayed

I think it's nice Atari is taking "it's done when it's done" approach for awhile. You'd think they would want to rush it to the stores given their financial standing. Now people are wondering will the DM client ship along with the retail as well.
  13. new game ~~mythwar

    They have hardcore playerbase. :)
  14. Recommend me some good RTS games dammit

Have you tried WH40k: Dawn of War ?
  15. Is luck a necessary stat?

Luck seems to be leftover stat most of the time, where it's used on occasions where nothing else attribute fits or then just give it small impact enough to justify its place in a character system. In class based games it can work also as something extra to balance otherwise poor characters like...
