  1. Incline Making an 80s themed RPG

There is something incredibly distinct about early 80's Shaw Brothers' movie choreography. I saw that trailer and was instantly reminded of this, which I last watched when I was younger than 10 at a friend's house (my mum would never let me watch violent movies at home until I was around 14)
  2. Incline Making an 80s themed RPG

Also: Still some of my favourite game soundtracks ever.
  3. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

Strangely enough, I have a couple of tips for you... get sober and stop crying about Dragon's Dogma 2 losing a Codex popularity poll :-D
  4. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

I've not had a problem with encounters in general, it's specifically these Banished Knights I'm having a problem with; they seem designed to specifically counter my main weapon and I don't have enough HP to survive if I make a mistake. The first one was difficult to evade because it spawned in a...
  5. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

I've looked at Ashes of War but at the moment none of the ones I have seem to actually boost the numbers on my main weapon (a +4 Greatsword) I think it's because my Strength isn't high enough to make up for the base weapon damage falloff. I left the tower after venting here last night and found...
  6. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

I guess the shield/rapier or spear poking build needs a decent investment into Endurance so you survive a few blocks without getting winded? My character has 20 at the moment (along with 20 Vigour and 22 Strength so I can two-hand the Greatsword). What sort of numbers should I be working towards...
  7. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

You're playing it wrong, then ;)
  8. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

Thanks for the advice genius, nice to see you can live up to your tag if you really squeeze everything you can out of your working braincell.
  9. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

I levelled up to 30 after exploring a lot of Limgrave and a bit of the area to the east and found a Greatsword in a carriage which I decided to use. It's good to actually be able to stagger stuff. I then decided to go back and give Magrit another try while using the Jellyfish to distract him...
  10. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

I've played about 6 hours so far. Now that I've seen a bit more of the world and its weirdness I'm enjoying exploring it a lot more and the atmosphere is great. I also spent a couple of those hours repeatedly clearing the soldier's camp just outside the gate to try to learn the combat mechanics...
  11. From Software Elden Ring - From Software's new game with writing by GRRM

So, I just picked this up. I've not actually played anything From have designed previously, the level of hype from my friends about their games had put me off but after years of their nagging I finally caved and bought this. I've played for about an hour so far. Combat feels clunky and lacks...
  12. Capcom Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Failing anything else more sensible, it's entirely possible to kill the undead bishop if you chuck a lot of Throwblasts at him. I think it's possible to kill just about everything in the game with them if you carry enough of them.
  13. Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

I don't really know how reliable this is as a source, but it popped up on my newsfeed today so I thought I'd paste it on here. Capcom Now Considers Dragon's Dogma a 'Key Brand' Following Substantial Sales
  14. Pathfinder Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition - now with turn-based combat

He has a Kingmaker link to his builds in his sig. In amongst them there is a list of the mods he recommends, it's listed on the right side of the page in the menu. (It's under EXTRA: Recommended Mods)
