Jank game recommendations - Love 'em even though they suck. Weird in the good way, but you never pay full price.

This was the first game that I'm aware of that was made by the developers of "My Time at Portia". It's part MineCraft, you can make your own guns and swords, you can make vehicles, and even build your own colony. Apparently it's now free as well! It looks like RimWorld, but it's actually a...

Nintendo Switch, the only console today making games which are games

I think this was obvious when they started going after Yuzu as well as the MiG Switch flash cart. One of the first ways to hack a 3DS was by using the ntrboot hack using a DS flash cart which is a direct result of the 3DS being compatible with the Nintendo DS. And it still works to this day.

Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks shut down by Microsoft

This is more correct. There's also a gigantic amount of titles out there, and let's face the facts here, very few of them are anything new or interesting. Call of Duty still makes money, but how many of Call of Duty games are there? How many Call of Duty like games are there? In terms of just...

Why is Fallout New Vegas considered good?

You mean like the ghouls that now require some magical medicine, that makes no sense that it exists, and would have to be spread all over the country because not every ghoul in the wasteland is feral? How about the Master never finding Vaults 31 to 33 or Vault 4 in his backyard? He was in Los...

Why is Fallout New Vegas considered good?

They've been saying that the show is canon since the beginning. In fact, I'm reasonably certain the point of the show is to reset the West Coast, trash everything that came before it, so they can do whatever they want there going forward. Mr. House was a brilliantly written brilliant character...

Deus Ex GMDX: Deus Ex Advancement Mod v9 Released!

I'm pretty sure I said the same thing I said in this thread. I don't get the uproar of a murdered chick without pants in a world where Law & Order SVU has been on the air for 25 years and is well over 500 episodes. And maybe I should have even pointed out that a lot of SVU episodes are based on...

Vapourware Prelude To Darkness Boxart Contest

"Prelude to Drunkenness"? It's H.P. Lovecraft Cat's origin story.

This year is going to be weird because of the Cicada-geddon. I'm spending a lot of time protecting my berry bushes and new fruit trees from the upcoming onslaught since both Brood 13 and Brood 19 are coming out this summer at the same time.

Anime Why not a "jRPG Developers" aggregation?

I don't know. It kind of pisses me off when people refer to Wizardry and other blobbers as "JRPGs". Same thing goes for "Mystery Dungeon" games, which are rogue-lites. Saying those are JRPGs just because some of them were developed in Japan is like going to a MacDonald's franchise in Tokyo...
