Decline meh Ubisoft (Ubi fuckery general thread)

I would add Rayman and Prince of Persia. They seem so creatively bankrupt it's not even funny. Their latest hits are mostly copy pasted open worl with rpg elements and crafting sandbox games. Even their great hit Ass Creed diverged so hard from initial premise, it's not even funny.

Why did Real Time Strategy genre die out?

Haha I remember playing with some randos and they were spamming chat with waaagh and for the emprah, as they were orks and spees mahreens. Good times.

Why did Real Time Strategy genre die out?

Dawn of War 2 was actually surprisingly fun. It had single player, coop and pretty cool multiplayer which is still active. Imho it was good title that streamlined base building aspect (which I personally hate the most in RTS).

Why did Real Time Strategy genre die out?

They are spamming actions same way as CS players switch weapons. It's to keep mind occupied and in game to not get distracted. When you play this much as pro it becomes a muscle memory.

Why did Real Time Strategy genre die out?

It is. You need to have some level of good APM otherwise enemy gets time and resorces advantage. You are required to be able to fight on multiple fronts, or know how to fast build chains for certain units and upgrades. Of course in mid level play there are various factors as people have some...

Why did Real Time Strategy genre die out?

Oh because in RTS you don't have to animate every building, units, explosions etc As for micromanagement part, yes. It's the worst part of RTS, not to mention APM required to be at least bit competetive. That's why MOBAs kinda replaced RTS games.

Why did Real Time Strategy genre die out?

I think it' due to high production costs and issues with (bleh) monetization, other genres have it way easier. And you cannot release it for console peasants. From the player side, well: - Total lack of lore and story for recent attempts to release any RTS. Most succesful ones had fun storries...

Best traditional expansion pack? (no DLC garbage please)

LoD was great, but it was actually patches that made game great, especially 1.09 and 1.10 (which added synergies I think). Otherwise it was mostly "get to lvl 30 to get strongest skill". What about Armaggedon's Blade and Shadow of Death for HoMM3? I cannot imagine playing the game without them...

Vapourware LOL ELECTRONIC ARTS: The EA Thread

I mean If you place real ads on banners in Fifa, oh sorry FC, or banners around the city it would not make much difference to gameplay. But, if you consider how they would try to shove their ads into different parts of the game, like some retards did in NBA 2k, then we can only expect the worst...

Russian Kingdom Come Deliverance - Смута

High on copium I see. I bet you are one of these who bashes Bethesda for releasing unfinished piles of bugs and at same time you speak of "hidden turd" turned into gem after years of bugfixing.
