What's the dialog like in these top RPGs?

Omg, son... modern RPGs mostly have absolutely shit writing/dialogue. It's a combination of several things: 1. Lack of skilled writers in general. This has always been the case with games. However... 2. Lack of self-analysis skills, and overvaluation of your shit writers, where a lot of studios...

Ghost of Tsushima - open world game set in feudal Japan

It's all pointless busywork. Beautiful visuals, great looking world, love the aesthetics, love the base combat, but god, the gameplay is just utter trash. Everything feels like doing homework.

Ghost of Tsushima - open world game set in feudal Japan

Our brains are fairly good at detecting meaning. So when you play a handcrafted open world game, and are kinda going through unique stuff that's intricately tied to other stuff going on, your brain feels like it's doing something worthwhile, and all the right pleasure centers are stimulated...

I was playing high quality games when you were still modding cooties in your mom's uterus. :nocountryforshitposters:

Ghost of Tsushima - open world game set in feudal Japan

Yeah, this game is a little weird, in that I do absolutely like the base combat (amazing swordfighting if you use parries, perfect parries, dodges/perfect dodges and such, fun archery), and I love the setting and the aesthetics, the beautiful world, and the dialogue and cutscenes are well done...

Or you could pass the wind, and hastily walk in the opposite direction.

Games without females as regular enemies?

Well, according to THAT theory, theo is not even a girl.

Ghost of Tsushima - open world game set in feudal Japan

I am not really digging the wind thing at all. It seems like a shallow attempt to finally deal with the utter bullshit of exploration by marker/compass, but just feels like a more organic version of the same bullshit. For fuck's sake, just add some landmarks and use them in dialogue/instructions...

Games without females as regular enemies?

Men make for far better villains. Just look at Crispy here. Can you imagine either Scrooge, Crooked Bee, or Theo being even 1/1000th as villainous as Crispy?

    Incline Games with great combat

Because as shocking as it may sound, I, the famous Porkman, am not perfect. Also, when I started this poll, I didn't know that there was a limit on total poll choices, so I thought I would just keep on keeping on adding new options as various butthurt Codexers chimed in. I blame this entirely on...

Jagged Alliance Jagged Alliance 2: a great simulation wrapped in a boring game?

If by bad, you mean good, I won't argue with the rest of your supposition.

Why did Real Time Strategy genre die out?

Serious question to Lyric Suite and the other autists debating APM for the last 5 pages: do ya'll think RTS (as you see them) would improve if they added foot controls, so you could do more APMs with both hands AND feet?

Ah, Porky's threads age like fine wine...
