Starship Simulator - An engaging space exploration sandbox, featuring a 1:1 scale galaxy and fully simulated starships.

Ambitious to say the least but... It does sound interesting. Biggest question for me is the actual gameplay beyond just exploring. That gets old quickly when procedural content is implemented. Didn't No Man's Sky fail at this type of "gameplay"? Not a fan of procedural anything but that is...

Game News Find your missing cat in Labyrinth: The Wizard's Cat, a single character dungeon crawler coming June

It actually looks really nice with good animations and fluid movement but the premise...

KickStarter System Shock 1 Remake by Nightdive Studios

Where did you get the artbook? I didn't think any physical items had been shipped out yet... :hmmm:

KickStarter System Shock 1 Remake by Nightdive Studios

That's one of the cool things I love about these type of games. One that takes the time to actually think about the many consequences of the player's actions even if it's a small detail. This is an example of me smiling when playing and going, "That was a cool touch."

Baldur's Gate So... Which Studio Should Replace Larian As The Developer of Baldur's Gate 4?

Any halfway decent studio would not want a BG4 as you are just setting yourself up for failure as the media and fans will eviscerate it regardless of any perceived quality. It won't be a Larian game (style, substance, reactivity, etc.) and certainly wouldn't be given the same time or budget. If...

Baldur's Gate Larian is moving away from D&D, no BG3 DLC or BG4

Assisted Living Godzilla Perhaps I should have said RPGing. Regards, we're all talking in circles and you won't convince me that BG was just a small largely unknown niche game. I lived that era (as an adult not kiddy consoler) and know it was one of THEE games to be released that year based on...

Game News Wartales: The Tavern Opens DLC Released

Yeah, trying to wade through a Codex thread to actually find the answers is like shaving with an old rusty razor... :negative:

Baldur's Gate Larian is moving away from D&D, no BG3 DLC or BG4

South Korea  ...and regardless of TSR's issues (incompetent management not IP) D&D was still thee fantasy table-top brand. Also, they wouldn't have added a 3 to the name if it didn't carry advertising weight. We've seen a lot of games over the years drop the numbering system for fear it...

Game News Wartales: The Tavern Opens DLC Released

How was the base game? Looking at it does it have a story arc and ending or is it just rinse and repeat endlessly? Does the pirate DLC improve the game? So many questions...

Baldur's Gate Larian is moving away from D&D, no BG3 DLC or BG4

Assisted Living Godzilla How old are you? This isn't a snarky question as it seems you are looking at the 1990s through the lens of today's video game market size. Back in the 90s "gaming" was still relatively smaller and when one spoke of "gaming" you thought table-top or board game. The % of...

Incline RPG Codex's Best RPGs - 2024 - VOTING IS CLOSED

I almost put these two as well. I loved playing Savage and it would have been my #11 pick. LotR, though quite simple, was... well, fun. Hard to explain it but after getting away from Hobbiton I really started to enjoy it. Good choices :salute:

KickStarter Monomyth - A first person action RPG/dungeon crawler - now in Open Backer Beta

Didn't remember I'd be getting a key... anyone want it? Edit: It's been claimed.

Cain on Games - Tim Cain's new YouTube channel

I'll repeat myself again that Tim Cain just gets it when it comes to work ethic! Hopefully his videos reach the inner souls of some of these younglings starting out in today's workplace. His advice goes well beyond the video game industry and pertains to the work environment generally. @Tim Cain...

Baldur's Gate Larian is moving away from D&D, no BG3 DLC or BG4

When all this news broke of them walking away from BG Swen also stated their next game won't be the "Big RPG" he's talked about over the years.
