  1. Something Ultima this way comes?

Yeah. They seem to have fixed that now. DNS :decline:
  2. Something Ultima this way comes?

    It's working from Australia.
  3. Something Ultima this way comes?

It might also be worth mentioning that both Underworld games are available on GOG now.
  4. Need info. on older RPGs and VISTA!

I think VMWare supports this, but it's not free. In any case, I would advise against gaming in a virtualised environment. It's only just playable on a powerful computer.
  5. Ultima III!

This thread actually inspired me to dig out my copy of that version. It's quite good and gives you a selection of different graphics sets to use (a "modern one", C64, Apple IIe, etc, etc). Oh, and it has music. Short of installing OSX, I wouldn't bother with an emulator - it's been an OS X...
  6. Fable II

I'll be happy if it's anything like the original. Fable wasn't a good RPG by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a fun enough time sink for a few evenings.
  7. On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Demo

This game is entertaining enough, but it plays like an adventure with some stats and combat, rather than an RPG. Some of the vulgarity is a bit OTT, though. I've never, ever played a game that uses the word sodomize in a dialogue before.
  8. Why can't I play/enjoy Ultima VII?

NPC schedules are better in 1.4. There's still some work, but it has improved. There's also some sexy scalers in 1.4, but the current snapshot seems a bit wonky.
  9. Let's play - Ultima IX!

It did. IIRC, the Avatar sends the Codex into the Void at the end of Ultima VI. The lenses are then required to view the Codex whilst it's in the Void. Ultima IX is still wrong, though, it ain't gibberish, it's just not accessible.
  10. Volournian Quick & Early Mass Effect Thoughts

There's loads of sidequests that pop up from time to time. I'd usually get one or two after each mission. There's a lot of "incoming transmission, Commander". Most of them are fun enough. I liked visiting the Moon.
  11. Mass Effect review madness

Well, I did exaggerate it some, but what should have diffused the situate made Hot Alien Babe Number Blue feel like a dick (and not mine, hyuk, hyuk, hyuk).
  12. Mass Effect review madness

It's not as much a beef with the Biowareness of the game - I know what to expect from them. It's just that the dialogue system can be very, hmm, soundbitey?
  13. Mass Effect review madness

One of the most annoying bits was when I was "working" on the hot blue alien babe. A response that I read as, "Don't sweat it, I was just joking" came out as "You dopey bitch, it was just a fucking joke. Sheeesh". That may be a slight exaggeration.
  14. Mass Effect review madness

I find that the abbreviated text in the dialogue system can be ambiguous. That could just be me, of course, but it's given me a headache at times when I read an option as carrying a sentiment that it does not. It's also a bit of a shame that many paths lead to the place, but that's hardly...
