Hah! Hola, Santiago ;D Tu tambien por aqui? :P Muy bueno el articulo, yo estoy contigo en esto de hacer conocido este juego. B) Besos! PS: Nothing to worry about, just complimenting about the article. PS2: Vince, where is the, uhm... that I sent you ? Any time it'll be online...
  3. Preview RPG Vault says - bring out the commie in you!

Really nice screenshots. You can see the big before/after difference. Well done!
  4. Interview Obsidian chats with Clan DLAN

Ehm... answering to several things in here... :) We, at Clan DLAN are chaotic evil (I am actually, half "filthy spaniard and good latino") translators with a lot of time on our hands to translate complete games that "American capitalist pigs" don't want to translate because they won't earn as...
  5. New interview

Well first off, I'd like to thank Vince fo the interview. :) It was the first we made (after that one we've made 4 more to people from other independant and stablished studios - An interview with Rob Bartel from Bioware will come next in a week or so), and I'm glad with the outcome. In hope...
  6. AoD Lighting sucks. Badly.

It's not my intention to spoil the party :( BUT, in the two previous screenshots i've noticed that the people cast a shadow on the ground, but none of the objects do (the barrels, the tents, the plants, the trees). There's always still some room for improvement, but hey, great screenies...
  7. AoD: What do you think of TEH GRAFIKS?

You should start reading the whole post instead of just clicking the links. :) Anyway, i never intended to come across as the bestest graphics designer evar, in fact, even if i know how to use a bit of photoshop, as you can see, im not very good at it. :) I only did it to illustrate what i...
  8. AoD: What do you think of TEH GRAFIKS?

Ok, as promised, to explain myself better here it is the illustration: This is your screenshot: http://www.irontowerstudio.com/images/4a.jpg And this is my edit: http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/5434/4a1zv6.jpg I did it in photoshop (bet you wish making the game was so easy :/) but...
  9. AoD: What do you think of TEH GRAFIKS?

Voted that the graphics are ok. I see you make shadows, and thats okay, but the shadows of the objects, NPCs in themselves are failing. You see, an object cast a shadow on the ground, and you have accomplished that. But objects also have and casts shadows on themselves. To put it in plain...
  10. One thing to consider about release updates

I agree that this game being a RPG needs to be finished completely before releasing. However, as people just said, adding extras can be a way to keep people interested. Probably, as this is a rather "independant" game, the developers themselves should start their own modding community, and...
  11. Children?

I do think children/chickens/markets/etc are relevant to the game, simple because its a RPG. Id probably wouldnt want to have children in Battlefield II, as its a FPS, but when you are creating a game so extensive and with so many options, people and cities as AoD then the thing changes...
