  1. AoD music, part 2

I think all three are very good. I really like the last one a lot. A little MIDI-ish but excellent composition. I definitely get the epic "final battle" sense to it....and it does kind of remind me of a the good, bad, and ugly for some reason. Cool. More please. :D
  2. Fully full review of neverwinter nights 2

I agree with everything in your review Jim Kata. I too was wondering why much of this was not mentioned in other reviews. You did forget to mention the camera view though. That annoyed me most of all. Terrible. If I had to grade the game I'd give it a C-. Fixing what seems like some very...
  3. Game News Oblivion modders will design Fallout 3 dungeons!

    Was Oblivion real-time with pause?
  4. Ok, tell me what you want from companions in your party

    - Competition and one-up-manship. - NPC's that get into trouble for whatever reason and you having to deal with the consequences
  5. Review ActionTrip reviews Gothic 3 - 79%

    True. It is speculation.

Thanks, I've been a C/C++ programmer for 14 years. I'm not a game programmer so I may be oversimplifying things, but these are my opinions. You have yours and I have mine... All of the things you are talking about being specific to rpgs vs. fps are being incorporated into fps too. The Crytek...
  7. Review NWN2 review at Gamezilla - Fans Only

I'll complain about those too, but I think this is complain-worthy as well. Who said I wanted to hunt around with my mouse? I think it is good that since the backgrounds are just there to be pretty and there are very few things that you can actually interact with that there is a button to point...
  8. Review ActionTrip reviews Gothic 3 - 79%

I think performance has a lot to do with the implementation of a given engine technology. I doubt the engine code was exactly the same between HL2 and Bloodlines, but even if it was I don't think you can accurately attribute the performance differences to one being an RPG and the other being a...
  9. Review NWN2 review at Gamezilla - Fans Only

Nah, I thought he was being sarcastic. I just wanted to be sarcastic too.
  10. Review NWN2 review at Gamezilla - Fans Only

The 'Z' button highlights all possible things of interest (i.e. things that need to be looted) in a given location. Kind of takes all exploration out of the equation but I cringe at having to explore when moving around is a constant pain in the ass. This is mostly due to the lack of any camera...
  11. NWN 2 : No forced attack on NPC option?

My impression is you are just along for the ride. Just pick a random dialogue option, watch the cutscenes, and kill and collect things along the way. Yippee.
  12. Review NWN2 review at Gamezilla - Fans Only

Where's the other 9 and half pages? I'm surprised I don't read many impressions about the awesome "loot finder" button, auto-heal, and insta-rez features.
  13. Review NWN 2 review extravaganza

:) An excerpt... The Riddle of Steel was first conceived after Jake Norwood discovered it was possible to throw yourself over a hundred-foot-cliff, get up, and run away with seven arrows sticking out of you – as long as you were a high-level fighter in a certain well-known fantasy game.
  14. AoD: What do you think of TEH GRAFIKS?

Ah, excellent. That does indeed look better.
  15. Review 1UP insists that NWN2 is crap

While he didn't delve into a detailed critique of the game, I have to agree with the complaints he mentioned. The story is engaging but actually playing it has been painful for all the reasons he talks about. I think he is right on about those.
